Why Marriage was Created.

Tuesday afternoon I curled up next to Bryce to apologize for something I recently did that wasn't very smart. Wiping away my tears, he reminded me that even in difficult circumstances God continues to refine us into His image. "But I should know better by now," I pleaded, to which he responded, "That's why there's 2 of us...so we can watch out for each other."

"Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their work:

If one falls down,
his friend can help him up.
But pity the man who falls
and has no one to help him up!

Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone?

Though one may be overpowered,
two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken."

(Ecclesiastes 4:9-12)

Praise God that Christ is the third strand in this marriage, and that He holds his children in the palm of His hand and never lets us go.

hi friend, I love your blog! That was a sweet reminder about marriage. We always tell eachother to "be my mirror" because no one else can see us the way the other can (which is sometimes painful but wonderful)
Love,
Alicia
